Hi there! Here's a bit about me and my career journey.
My determination, curiosity, and forward-seeking mindset led me to a focused career in the design industry. Upon graduating Cum Laude from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising with a degree in Visual Communications, I started my career interning and working in design for companies such as Issue Magazine, Wilding Cran Gallery, Starworks Group, and Rolling Greens Nursery.
I joined the sustainable swimwear & lingerie startup, We Are HAH, as the company's first design intern, where I earned a position as a design assistant. In this role, I mediated between designers and local artisans to create original designs and developed products by visually communicating through mood boards. I made digital assets, such as emailers and marketing content, that voiced the brand's message of female empowerment and sustainability. Created line sheets, selected fabrics, and chose color swatches for SS & FW apparel, lingerie, and swimwear.
After three great years at We Are HAH, I found art direction, content creation, and graphic design to be where my true passion lies. I decided to further my design education by pursuing a bachelor's degree in graphic design at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.
While working towards my bachelor's degree, I joined Recycled Karma, a vintage-inspired t-shirt brand, as their first graphic design assistant. While in this role, I designed graphics sold by retailers such as Nordstrom, Nieman Marcus, and multiple boutiques. Eventually, I transitioned into the marketing coordinator role, designing two e-commerce websites and managing the aesthetic. I engaged existing clientele by creating high-quality digital assets for marketing collateral, such as emails, site landing pages, social content, printed materials, and lookbooks.
Following graduation, I sought a job to challenge and refine my skills as a graphic designer. In March 2021, I landed a Graphic Design position at TravisMathew Apparel. While in this position, I've created marketing content that voices the brand's message of inclusivity and style that seamlessly transitions from work to play by creating assets across various marketing mediums, from digital to print. Print includes retail window displays, product displays, catalogs, mailers, packaging, inserts, and flyers—social across all media platforms and a wide range of digital assets.
I currently reside in Huntington Beach, CA, and work as a Creative Designer at TravisMathew.
